A number of CMBC members participate in BMPRS racing. This form of racing is hosted by different Clubs with suitable sailing waters through out the country. There are five classes of models determined by engine size and type, IC glow or spark ignition.Also there are two,types of racing, the timed 'chase boat' event and the side by side racing of the endurance races.

There is also a CMBC Trophy awarded each year.
